Rep. Kathleen Cates has introduced a bill to make such practices illegal.
“Things that the government has deemed that this is important that we either historically protect, culturally protect these, these arts programs, or make sure that they stay affordable so that New Mexicans can attend them, okay? This bill will say you cannot resale tickets at a profit for these events,” Cates said.”
